Many saxophone makers added a top F# key to their instruments in the 1960s and nowadays it is a standard feature of saxophone design. However, some purists feel this extra hole and extra key slightly changed the tonal characteristics. This model does not have the top F# key.

The VI neck helps create a more expressive saxophone, made possible by the more open feel that this neck gives and a wider dynamic range. Made of a special lighter-weight brass alloy.
